What a week! We had a FANTASTIC Christmas performance, have written some super stories about pizza men, chocolate bunnies and tasty tacos and learnt all about portrait and landscape.

24/11/23 This week we have been taking part in lots of nativity practice(the children's signing has really impressed Miss Cutter and they are doing an excellent job of teaching me), learnt the story of the Stinky Cheese Man and explored lots of materials in Science!

17/11/23 Another busy week! This week we have been enjoying friendship week where we worked with class 13, completed a class photobooth challenge (see the pictures below) and had Pudsey day today!

10/11/23 What a busy first week back! This week we have begun our new reading book Stitch Head, made paper lantern instructions and started our digital photography topic in computing.

13/10/23 This week we have been learning about addition and subtraction in Maths, writing all about Neil Armstrong in Literacy and exploring the world in Geography!

06/10/23 This week we have explored greater than and less than in Maths, learnt about explorers in History and talked about hot and cold countries in Geography- a very busy week!
The children have put their spelling books in their bags to show you and have been asked to bring them back in Monday. Thank you for your ongoing support with practicing their spellings and reading.

29/09/23 Another week completed! The children are well into the swing of Year 2 now and should be so proud of everything they have already achieved! In Maths we have been focusing on number lines, in Literacy writing a report about Marcus Rashford and lots of learning about Primary and Secondary colours in Art.
Apologies for the homework not being sent out tonight- it was a very busy afternoon! I will send out Monday to be completed by whenever works best for you:)

22/09/23 What a busy week! The children have practiced partitioning numbers, written their own version of the three little pigs and loved reading our class novel 'Tilly and the Time Machine'.

The children have had a fantastic first week and a half back! I have loved every minute teaching them- they should all be so proud of themselves for the enthusiasm and commitment they have shown towards their learning. They are a credit to you all. 

We have been working hard every day, writing the story of 'The Three Little Pigs in Literacy', practicing our numbers to 100 in Maths and of course our new topic 'Movers and Shakers'! The children loved exploring Neil Armstrong's undiscovered planet!

Quick information: 

The children get a prize for 5 reads from Friday to Friday each week. 

Spellings will be sent home in their reading record on Fridays and on Spelling Shed too.

Homework will be sent home on Fridays.

P.E. days are Mondays and Fridays.
